Whether the Easter holiday has a very special place in your heart for religious reasons or simply because it provides you with a great excuse to scoff all the chocolate, we have a list of the best 2017 Easter events to add to your itinerary!

The SAB Easter Beer Hunt

How do you make a chocolate-filled holiday even better? Throw in a couple of litres of beer, that’s how! If this sounds like a treat, you need to make your way to the SAB World of Beer Easter Beer Hunt.

Between Friday the 14th of April and Monday the 17th of April 2017, SAB will be sprucing up their daily tour. Basically, guests need to keep an eye out for SAB brands en route and those who can give a correct answer to a few questions at the end of the tour will each be given a beer glass to take home. There is also the option of adding beer tasting for your group to enjoy at the end of the tour – and it costs just R180 extra!

The SBTD Easter Picnic

It might not be Braamfontein but by all accounts it will be worth the trek to the Sosha Cricket ground North of Pretoria this April. This is the place to be on Easter Sunday if you really want to make the most of the holiday, and you’re a big fan of deep house. The SBTD hosts an annual Easter picnic and every year it proves to be even better than the last.

Enjoy the awesome chill zone area, hot fashion stalls and a music line-up to die for. While the DJs have not yet been announced by name, we have been told to expect 1 international guest DJ/producer, 2 of SA’s finest house DJs, as well as 11 of Pretoria’s most celebrated DJs.

Get your tickets before the 10th of March and pay just R40. Thereafter, tickets will cost R60 (R80 at the gate). As for VIP tickets, you can get yours for just 200 bucks! We’re guessing the extra spent will be well worth it. Lift sharing is the way to go and better still, invite a responsible mate as your ‘DD’ (designated driver) who needs no beers in order to have fun!

The Rand Show 2017

While the Rand Easter Show is taking place one week after Easter this year from 14-23 April, 2017, it is the perfect way in which to extend (or perhaps recover from) all of the celebrations! This 10-day action packed event is a great opportunity to catch up with the family for a day, or simply to connect with mates as the show caters for all ages. Good food, good music and good times are always guaranteed! Tickets cost just R150 per person.
