Spring is officially here. Looking for things to do in Joburg that are just as hot and happening as the weather itself? Here’s the line-up of the most unmissable events to attend in October and November 2019.

FIBO Global Fitness Africa

Fitness fundi’s of Jozi unite! FIBO Global Fitness Africa is back from Friday, 25 October 2019 – Sunday, 27 October 2019 at the TicketPro Dome, Northumberland Road & Olievenhout Avenue, Northriding. It’s the place to be for the best in the fitness industry, from the latest workout gear and equipment to astounding fitness demos that you have to see to believe. Tickets cost between R80 – R150 per person and are available online via Computicket.

The Soweto Marathon

Sweat is the order of the day in Soweto on Sunday, 3 November at the FNB Stadium. Runners will be participating in one of three calorie-crunching marathons: the 10 km, 21.1 km or the 42.2 km. It’s the perfect opportunity to get rid of that lingering winter weight! Unfortunately, entries for the much-anticipated marathon closed on 31 July, so if you didn’t book your spot, you won’t be able to join in. However, there’s nothing stopping you from being a cheerleader on the side lines! That burns calories too, right?

The 2nd Annual Social Market Experience

This ‘feel good’ festival is a great excuse to get out of your student digz and into the springtime sun. Expect great food, incredible live music and good vibes all around. The best part? Tickets cost just R30 – R50 per person. Be at Miris Pub & Grill, 21 Flint Street, Carletonville on Saturday, 9 November at 12:30 to be a part of the experience.

Poets In Autumn Johannesburg 2019

If you love poetry and literature in general, you simply have to go to the Poets In Autumn Johannesburg 2019 event on Saturday, 16 November at 18:00 for an evening of beautiful, spoken poetry. The event is being held at the Rhema Bible Church North, Corner of Hans Schoeman and Rabie Streets, Randburg and tickets cost R280 – R550 per person, available now on Quicket.

Don’t forget to snap some pictures and post them on our Facebook page if you’re lucky enough to attend any of these amazing springtime events!
