Looking for something exciting to do? It’s time to let loose at Locrate Market in Soweto! The first lifestyle market of its kind in the area, it’s definitely got everybody talking! If you’re keen to support inspiring young entrepreneurs (or score yourself a spot), this is the place to be right now. Bring your friends for a fun-filled afternoon to remember.
What’s it All About?
Locrate Market focuses on helping young entrepreneurs. It’s a place for creators and innovators to showcase and sell their wares. It’s a wonderful place to generate new connections and even get some tips from already-established brands.
The market is also a hub for artists. You’ll often be able to enjoy incredible poetry readings, live music and actors’ skits.
Oh, and Locrate Market is also every foodie’s dream. Their “mother trucker” food trucks have got tongues wagging. Soweto-style street food at its finest. Did we mention that there’s also plenty of craft beer to chug down?
Where is it?
You’ll find it at Corner Moema and Kudu Street, Orlando West, Soweto.
When is it?
Locrate Market held on the first Sunday of every month from 10:00 to 17:00. Plus, entrance is 100% free!
Can I Book a Stall?
You can indeed. If you’re a young entrepreneur, there’s plenty of opportunity to get the word of your business out there. You’re encouraged to book a stall by sending the organisers images and/or any social media links. Any link where they can see your work to firstname.lastname@example.org / email@example.com.
