By December 16, 2016 No Comments

When it comes to blowing off steam, there really isn’t anything quite like a night out listening to the best beats in town. The awesome news is that South African live music fans can expect a number of incredible concerts and events next year… so start saving now!

Here are the gigs that we’re looking forward to the most:

9th Annual Bahama Picnic

Start the new year off the right way by attending the 9th Annual Bahama Picnic at Ziba Park on the 1st of January 2017. Tickets will set you back only R150 and along with soulful tunes and memorable music acts, you will also enjoy the chilled vibe, plenty of laughter and a tasty bite to eat. It’s time to celebrate the start of a new, exciting year ahead.
Legends of R&B Volume 2

For those who love R&B, this is a big one. Enjoy some incredible tunes by the Whispers, the Stylistics, and a very special guest in the form of Lenny Williams. The event will be taking place on the 24th and 25th of March 2017 at the Teatro, Monte Casino.

Witchfest Open Air 2017

If you need a break from hitting the books, perhaps some head-banging will do the trick? Witchfest Open Air 2017 promises to be an event to remember for all those who love metal and good old fashioned rock and roll. The event is set to occur between April 14 – 17 2017 at Sundowners, Alberton. Checkout the line-up for April on their facebook page.

The Lumineers

The popular American band is set to hit South African shores in April next year (on Friday the 28th of April at the Ticketpro Dome, to be exact). If you loved their most recent album, Cleopatra, this is a concert that you won’t want to miss. Tickets have been on sale since September, so if you want to get in on the action, best you book yours ASAP! We doubt they’ll still be available for too much longer.
